Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of ScentBase. By using the app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your Apple or Google account secure. Do not impersonate another person.

2. The service

ScentBase provides collection tools, catalog information, personalized fragrance recommendations, and optional social features. Recommendations are subjective and informational. Fragrance information may contain errors; independently consider allergies, sensitivities, manufacturer guidance, and professional medical advice.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant ScentBase a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, process, and display it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You may remove public content or delete your account through the app.

4. Community rules

Do not post harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, self-harm promotion, illegal content, fraud, spam, impersonation, private information shared without permission, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not evade blocks, moderation, rate limits, or security controls. We may screen, limit, remove, or preserve content and restrict or suspend accounts. Users can report content and block or mute accounts.

5. Acceptable use and intellectual property

Do not scrape the service, reverse engineer protected systems, introduce malware, misuse automated access, probe security without authorization, or interfere with another person’s use. ScentBase software, design, branding, and original content are protected by applicable law. Brand names and fragrance imagery may belong to their respective owners.

6. Availability and disclaimers

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate service. Rights and warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScentBase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

8. Termination and changes

You may stop using ScentBase or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, security risks, or legal requirements. We may update these Terms and will revise the effective date above.
